COVID-19 Shopping Guidelines
Yes! The Worthington Farmers Market IS open...
The outdoor season of the Worthington Farmers Market begins the Saturday May 1 and extends through the last Saturday in October. We are open every Saturday morning from 8am-12pm.
While the farmers market has returned to our normal location, please understand that the shopping experience will be a bit difference this year. Due to the on-going pandemic and in compliance with city ordinances and public health regulations, the following protocols will be in place. As these are conditions of our return to our downtown home, please be aware of these changes and please be supportive while visiting the Worthington Farmers Market.
Before visiting us in the heart of historic Old Worthington, please familiarize yourself with our pandemic protocol:
First and foremost, if you or a family member is sick, please stay home! We're open all year!
Please remember to wear your facial covering while entering and shopping the Market. Market producers, volunteers and staff will be wearing facial coverings during all open Market hours.
If sound does not automatically play, hover over video and click the music note icon.
The City of Worthington REQUIRES wearing a facial covering. We thank you, in advance, for wearing your mask for the duration of your visit at the Worthington Farmers Market in support of the health of our vendors, volunteers, staff and other customers.
Location: Historic Old Worthington
From May 1- October 30, you'll find the Worthington Farmers Market set-up along High St., from 161, along the Village Green and south to the Worthington Farmers Market. Due to the pandemic, we have expanded our footprint and spacing between producer stalls to allow for social distancing.
Market Layout:
Use our interactive map to find your favorite producers and plan your visit.
Mind the Gap - Keep 6' Back!
Please maintain 6' of distance between yourself and our volunteers, vendors and other customers at all times.
Space between vendor booths has increased to ensure maximum aisle width. Form lines in empty spaces next to booths to allow other pedestrians to pass and keep traffic flowing in the main aisles and sidewalks.
Please enjoy your purchases in designated outdoor dining areas only.
No sampling of products and no eating or drinking inside the Market space.
Look with your eyes, not with your hands:
Only touch the products that you intend to buy. Or, allow the farmer or food maker to select your products for you. They know when a melon is ripe and a peach is perfectly sweet and juicy!
It's All About the Fresh & Local Groceries:
Music, busking and related entertainment, Market Sprouts, “Where’s Penny”, cooking demonstrations, food trucks, etc. have been suspended until restrictions have eased.
Pre-orders Welcome!
Pre-orders are still accepted and encouraged! Pre-ordering is ideal for customers who want limited exposure to crowds, have mobility restrictions or compromised immunity, prefer the convenience and efficiency of online ordering or those that want to guarantee the availability of the product they want by ordering in advance.
To pre-order, use our Producer Directory to contact and place your order with individual producers. Then, visit those producer stalls on Saturday morning to pick-up your items from the vendors from whom you have ordered.
Alternatively, you may sign-up with Angel Lyons, The Grocery Boss, and let her do the pick-up for you! Place your pre-orders and the use Angel's app to schedule your order pick-up for home delivery or curbside pick-up at The Shops at Worthington Place on Saturday morning. https://shop.dumpling.us/angell
SNAP/EBT and Produce Perks:
You SNAP and we Match! If you are shopping with your Ohio Directions Card, please visit the Market Information booth, located near Graeter's Ice Cream, and we'll swipe your card and issue your tokens.
Cash, Credit Card, Gift Certificate and Market Token Payments Accepted:
Check with the individual producer to determine their preferred method of payment. Not every producer accepts all forms of payment. For customers that need cash, there are several banks located in Old Worthington. Or, you may purchase our $5 Market tokens at the Market Information booth, located near Graeter's Ice Cream.
Customers that have previously purchased tokens and gift certificates can spend those like cash when purchasing from vendors.
We appreciate your support, cooperation and patience as we continue this Saturday morning tradition!
