COVID-19 Shopping Guidelines
Yes! The Worthington Farmers Market IS open...
Though things are a bit different operating during the Coronavirus pandemic, you're invited to #GetFreshwithUs and shop safely at the largest, year-round farmers market in Central Ohio! The winter season of the Worthington Farmers Market begins the first Saturday in November and extends through the last Saturday in April. We are open every Saturday morning EXCEPT Saturday, November 28 (Thanksgiving weekend) and Saturday, December 26.
Before visiting us at our winter season location, inside The Shops at Worthington Place, please familiarize yourself with our pandemic safety protocol:
First and foremost, if you or a family member is sick, please stay home! We're open all year!
The City of Worthington and the Governor's office requires wearing a facial covering when in public places within Worthington and Franklin County. We thank you, in advance, for wearing your mask at the Worthington Farmers Market in support of the health of our vendors, volunteers, staff and other customers. For more information on this requirement, click here.
Please remember to wear your facial covering while entering and shopping the Market. Market producers, volunteers and staff will be wearing facial coverings during all open Market hours.
From November though April, the Worthington Farmers Market is located inside The Shops at Worthington Place - 7227 N. High Street, Worthington, OH 43085.
Winter Market Hours:
9am-10am: Reserved for high-risk and vulnerable shoppers (senior citizens, immune-compromised, expectant mothers and other high-risk people). If you are not a high-risk or vulnerable shopper, please wait until after 10am to visit the Market.
10am-12pm: All shoppers are welcome.
Entry to the Worthington Farmers Market will be limited to keep everyone safely and socially distanced. Please be patient if we have reached capacity. You can enter the Market as soon as another customer finishes their shopping and exits. And, please be mindful of other shoppers that may be waiting on you to finish your shopping so that they may enter the market.
Mind the Gap - Keep 6' Back!
Please maintain 6' of distance between yourself and our volunteers, vendors and other customers at all times.
No Pets Allowed:
Please leave your furry companions at home.
To help you expedite your trip to the Market, producers are grouped by product categories - Produce, Baked Goods, Meat, Eggs & Dairy and Specialty Items. View our Market Map before you go, to plan your stops within the Market.
Please enjoy your purchases...after you leave the Market:
No sampling of products and no eating or drinking inside the Market space.
Look with your eyes, not with your hands:
Only touch the products that you intend to buy. Or, allow the farmer or food maker to select your products for you. They know when a melon is ripe and a peach is perfectly sweet and juicy!
Pre-orders are still accepted and encouraged! Pre-ordering is ideal for customers who want limited exposure to crowds, have mobility restrictions or compromised immunity, prefer the convenience and efficiency of online ordering or those that want to guarantee the availability of the product they want by ordering in advance.
To pre-order, use our Producer Directory to contact and place your order with individual producers. Then, visit those producer stalls on Saturday morning to pick-up your items from the vendors from whom you have ordered.
Alternatively, you may sign-up with Angel Lyons, The Grocery Boss, and let her do the pick-up for you! Place your pre-orders and the use Angel's app to schedule your order pick-up for home delivery or curbside pick-up at The Shops at Worthington Place on Saturday morning. https://shop.dumpling.us/angell
SNAP/EBT and Produce Perks:
You SNAP and we Match! If you are shopping with your Ohio Directions Card, please visit the Market Information booth upon entering the Market, and we'll swipe your card and issue your tokens.
Cash, Credit Card, Gift Certificate and Market Token Payments Accepted:
Check with the individual producer to determine their preferred method of payment. Not every producer accepts all forms of payment. For customers that need cash, there are three banks located in the parking lot of the Shops at Worthington Place. Or, you may purchase our $5 Market tokens at the Market Information booth, located at the entrance to the Market.
Customers that have previously purchased tokens and gift certificates can spend those like cash when purchasing from vendors.
It's All About the Fresh & Local Groceries:
Music and related entertainment, Market Sprouts, “Where’s Penny”, cooking demonstrations, food trucks, etc. have been suspended until restrictions have eased.
We appreciate your support, cooperation and patience as we continue this Saturday morning tradition!
