Frequently Asked Questions

When does the market open/close?

We don’t open or close—we just move inside or out! The Worthington Farmers Market is central Ohio’s only year round market, operating for 50 weeks of the year, closing only the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and during one week in September to make way for the annual Worthington Chamber of Commerce Market Day event.

Can I bring my pet to the market?

Yes, but we ask that pet owners abide by these six rules to make a pet’s visit to the market a good experience for everyone:

•    Pets must be kept on a short leash.
•    Pets must be under control and by the owner’s side at all times.
•    Keep pets away from produce, plants, and other food products.
•    Pets must be friendly with other pets and children.
•    Be considerate—not everyone loves your pet and some customers are allergic to animals.
•    Don’t forget to clean up after your pet.

The Worthington Farmers Market reserves the right to request that owners remove pets from the market.

Can I bring my pet to the market?

Yes, dogs are permitted during our outdoor market season, provided that they are leashed and under your control, well behaved, picked-up after and kept out of the flow of traffic when not actively moving through the Market.

Please abide by the following rules to make your and your pet’s visit to the market a good experience for everyone:

* Allow space for social distancing and for through traffic to pass you and your furry friend.

* Please be aware of those around you, allowing plenty of space to accommodate those with visual, auditory or mobility impairments who may be navigating the Market with a walker, wheelchair or other assistance.

* Pets must be kept on a short leash.

* Pets must be under control and by the owner’s side at all times.

* Keep pets away from produce, plants, and other food products.

* Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and children.

* Be considerate—not everyone loves your pet and some customers are allergic to or fearful of dogs.

* Please clean up after your pet. Bags are not provided, so plan ahead and please bring waste pick-up bags with you.

If your pup is easily frightened, barks excessively, jumps on people or is stressed by noise, traffic, strangers, children or other animals, we recommend that you bring your friend to walk our beautiful downtown at another, quieter time of the day.

Does the market allow buskers at market?

Yes, we're happy to schedule a date and time slot for you in one of our set performance areas. Please complete our sign-up form. (2023 season application will be available Spring 2023.)

Due to the popularity of this program, please be patient with our response. In order to accommodate as many requests as possible, you may not receive all requested dates or times. Your support and understanding is appreciated!
