New Year's Resolutions

Are you ready for the new year? Do you have your resolutions outlined? Do you stick to them?

According to TIME, the following resolutions are the top 10 most commonly forgotten. But maybe not this year. This year, the Worthington Farmers Market will help you stick to those resolutions!

Lose Weight and Get Fit

Do good for your mind, body and being by enjoying the benefits of yoga while visiting the Worthington Farmers Market! Join us the last Saturday of the month for free yoga with Native Cold Pressed owner, Nicole Salvo.

Quit Smoking

Food in the U.S. travels an average of 1,500 miles to get to your plate. All this shipping uses large amounts of natural resources (especially fossil fuels), contributes to pollution, and creates trash. Don't undo the benefits of the market by smoking!

Learn Something New

Do you know a Hampshire from a Tamworth? Do you know the difference between Stonefield Naturals and Curly Tail? They're different! Talk to them, ask questions and learn something new.

Eat Healthier and Diet

Um...easy! We're a farmers' market full of fresh fruits and vegetables, with more than a dozen certified organic producers.

Get Out of Debt and Save Money

As the Huffington Post put it, "For the sheer nutrition you get from farmer’s market produce compared to supermarket produce, it’s a really good value." Spend less on empty calorie, highly processed foods (not to mention healthcare). You can also save by purchasing in bulk, buying seconds, or investing in a whole or half animal.

Spend More Time with Family

Bring the kids! Bring your grandma! Bring your neighbors! People who shop at farmers markets have 15-20 social interactions per visit.

Travel to New Places

Whether you're a visitor to Worthington, or you're visiting new places through the food and flavors of our producers, you can take yourself and your taste buds on an adventure.

Be Less Stressed

Don't stress! You're protecting the environment, supporting family farms, nourishing your body, and connecting with your community.

Volunteer

Volunteering at the Worthington Farmers Market is a fun, interactive way to give back to our community by supporting local farmers and artisans, while educating market visitors. And it only takes an hour!

Drink Less

This one may be tough. The market has delicious and nutritious beverages, from raw, organic juice to coffee, cider and more! So we'll say, "Drink less of the bad stuff and more of the good stuff."

The Worthington Farmers Market returns tomorrow at 9:00 am. Please join us inside The Shops at Worthington Place.
