Health Tip #2: Eat Mindfully

To achieve better health and longevity, eat like the world's longest living people. Stop eating as soon as you no longer feel hungry, rather than when your stomach feels full. Eat foods high in nutrient density and low in caloric density. Plant based foods generally are rich in nutrients and low in calories while being rich in fiber which will make us feel full sooner. Sit down and slow down when eating. Eating purposefully helps to better appreciate the flavors and textures of our food and to react to cues telling us we are no longer hungry. The world's longest living healthiest people generally eat their largest meal in the first half of the day and their smallest meal in the late afternoon.
