Worthington Farmers Market: November 10

Taste Education: Soup

Kitchen boredom setting in? Want to try something new? Curious for a new recipe?

This week at market, the Worthington Farmers Market will host "Taste Education," an event where we will inspire healthy eating, and connect you with your food and its producer(s).

This month, it's all about soup. Sample soups made with cream and vegetables, stock and meat, and everything in between. "Taste Education" will take place near the information table outside of Aladdin's.

Don't be intimidated by a full parking lot! Use any of the lots indicated below.

The Market Wellness Doctor's Weekly Health Tip

Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.

Health Tip #20: Blood Flow, the Key to Longevity!

The key to longevity is optimizing blood flow thus enhancing oxygen and nutrient delivery while removing waste products at a cellular level. When we do this, we enhance mitochondrial function which results in maximizing energy production.

When we eat more greens this provides more antioxidants that prevent mitochondrial damage (2). Dark leafy greens also provide more magnesium which helps to slow aging. When we eat healthy fats like coconut oil we enhance the mitochondria's ability to manufacture energy (3).

We can also practice exercise like yoga which has been shown in multiple studies to promote longevity (1). Medical devices like PEMF (Bemer) have been shown in multiple studies over the last 20 years to enhance blood flow, the key to longevity.

Be well! See you at the market on Saturday!
