Worthington Farmers Market: March 2

Music and the spirit that comes with it are important to the market and its patrons!
In partnership with Music Go Round Columbus and musician, Chip Woods, the market hosts a weekly “open-mic” at the South end of market (outside Panera Bread). Music that is upbeat, family-friendly and skillfully presented by solo and duo performers is welcome.
Performers of all ages are welcome to sign in upon arrival beginning at 9 AM. Performances will be organized into 15 or 30-minute slots. Space is not guaranteed. Music Go Round will provide speakers, microphones and cords. All you need is your instrument! (And it doesn’t hurt to bring a connecting cord, too, if you have one.)

Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.
Health Tip #35: Sweat Daily to Optimize Your Health
Sweat is shown to effectively remove toxins from our bodies. Pesticides like DDT and DDE, commonly referred to as persistent organic pollutants (POPS), are significantly reduced by sweating. Phthalates in plastic products shown to have concentrations in sweat double those found in urine. Heavy metals like cadmium, nickel and aluminum found many times higher concentration in sweat than compared to urine. Bisphenol-A (BPA) the endocrine disrupting chemical found in many canned food linings and in plastic bottles has been shown to be most effectively removed through sweating. (1)
Sauna use has shown in many studies to significantly reduce cardiovascular deaths and all-cause deaths. In fact, men that used the sauna 2-3 times per week had a 27% lower cardiovascular related mortality, while those who used the sauna 4-7 times per week reduced their cardiovascular related mortality by 50%!
