Indulge your sweet tooth at the Worthington Farmers Market - June 1

June is National Candy Month
There really is a celebration for everything! #GetSweetwithUs at tomorrow's Farmers Market with a visit to some of our creative confectioners.
Try a sample? Yes, please! You've got to give Michael's Artisan Chocolates ghost pepper chili caramel a try! Really!!! Spicy, sweet and just a little savory, it touches on all those coveted umami notes.
And, speaking of caramels, have you tried the homemade sea salt caramels from Gourmet Candy by Karen? You really can't eat just one!
Treat your inner child with the spun maple cotton candy tufts or maple lollipops from Pleiades Maple Products.

This Week's Green Plate Special - Breakfast!
Last week's Green Plate Special was so popular, we're bringing back Pitabilities for an encore this Saturday!
Enjoy a loaded breakfast pita specially created by the Pitabilities food truck featuring eggs from this week's Worthington Farmers Market featured farm, Kennedy Farms.
The Green Plate Special is a weekly collaboration between a Market producer and a local food truck that will incorporate the producer's featured product in a special dish, just for the Farmers Market!
$1.00 of every Green Plate Special sold will be donated back to the Worthington Farmers Market to further our mission to "Encourage, support and promote the entrepreneurial efforts of local, independent, and small-scale farmers and food artisans seeking to sell their products directly to consumers."
Find the Green Plate Special at the Pitabilities food truck on the east side of High Street near US Bank during tomorrow's Market.

Rain, Rain...Can there be too much rain?
If you're trying to grow summer crops like berries and flowers...the answer is yes! Many customers have inquired about favorite producers and crops that haven't yet made an appearance at the Market. And, the reason is rain, and LOTS of it! Rain coupled with the cool spring temperatures have slowed the growing season for many. So, please be patient. Strawberries, blueberries and blooms are all on their way soon!
Parking Options

The Market Wellness Doctor's Weekly Health Tip
The Market Doctor will not be at the Market this week due to travel.
Find Dr. Matt, next week, in booth #74, near Dewey's Plaza
Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.
Health Tip #47: Hello from San Antonio!
Hello from San Antonio Texas at the Annual International Institute of Functional Medicine Conference. I am here with nearly 1,000 health practitioners from around the world! This is the largest gathering of functional medicine practitioners to date. We are learning the latest about pain, stress and addictions from leading researchers and practitioners from around our globe.
The inter-connectedness of pain, stress and chronic illnesses, like addiction, is very evident. Without addressing foundational issues such as sleep, exercise, nutrition, stress management and relationships we will fall far short of our goal of healing and optimal wellness when working with the vast majority of our patients who present with pain, stress and addiction. How exciting as we learn there is hope and healing while collaborating with our patients using the Functional Medicine model as a guide.
See you at the Market, upon my return, next week!

Be Well,
