Treat Dad to breakfast at the Market tomorrow! We welcome Sunnyside Tacos serving up this week's Green Plate Special - Huevos Rancheros featuring a unique salsa collaboration by The Crazy Cucumber and Chuck Evan's Montezuma Brand Sauces and Salsas.
The Green Plate Special is a weekly collaboration between a Market producer and a local food truck that will incorporate the producer's featured product in a special dish, just for the Farmers Market!
$1.00 of every Green Plate Special sold will be donated back to the Worthington Farmers Market to further our mission to "Encourage, support and promote the entrepreneurial efforts of local, independent, and small-scale farmers and food artisans seeking to sell their products directly to consumers."

The Market Wellness Doctor's Weekly Health Tip
The Market Wellness Doctor is OUT this weekend.
Find Dr. Matt, next Saturday, in booth #74, near Dewey's Plaza
Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.
Health Tip #49: Sweat to Live Longer, Live Better!
Sweating is shown in many studies to have numerous health benefits. Specifically, sweating will significantly decrease persistent organic movements such as solvents and insecticides like DDT. Hormone disrupting phthalates and BPA, found in many plastic containers and sales receipts, have been shown in studies to be removed in sweat twice as effectively as urine. Additionally, heavy metals like cadmium, nickel, lead, and aluminum have all been shown to be much more effectively removed from are bodies through sweat then urine.(1)
Also, the regular and consistent use of a sauna may boost longevity and prevent Alzheimer's disease. A 2015 study in the Journal American Medical Association showed that consistent sauna use was directly associated with decreasing the risk of cardiovascular disease by as much as 50% and a decreased risk of all cause mortality by as much as 40%. Long-term sauna use has also been shown to positively affect blood pressure, blood vessel function and improved heart function. Another 2016 study showed that use of a sauna a minimum of 4 times per week decreased the risk of dementia by 66% and Alzheimer's disease by 65%. These remarkable benefits from sauna use appear to be directly related to our bodies response to heat stress.(2)
See you, next Saturday, at the Market!
