Here's What's Fresh at the Worthington Farmers Market this Saturday
Fresh Finds from our Veggie Spy

The Veggie Spy's Pick of the Week?
The tomatillo!
They look like bright green cherry tomatoes and they're a staple of Mexican cooking, including salsa verde (green sauce). Tart and refreshing, they are much denser than tomatoes, which makes them ideal for cold summer soups and creative sauces. Or, get REALLY creative and use them in a Bloody Mary. But don't forget to take the husks off first! You can find tomatillos at Cottage Garden, Oak Leaf, and Sippel Family Farm/Kennedy Farm. And, Chuck Evans' Montezuma Brand Sauces and Salsas has salsa verde by the jar, loaded with tomatillos!

The Market Wellness Doctor's Weekly Health Tip
Visit Dr. Matt in booth #74, near Dewey's Plaza
Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.
Health Tip #58: Focus on your Wellness
There are three important questions to ask yourself as you consider a holistic approach toward wellness.
First, what gives your life meaning? Another way to ask this is: what is a health goal that will help you connect to what is most meaningful in your life? Or, If you were healthy, what would your life look like?
Second, Where do you need to start to achieve your health goal? This helps you prioritize what area of self care is most important to you. Perhaps it is improving your sleep or moving your body more consistently. Maybe, it is eating more nutritiously or beginning a daily stress management routine like meditation?
Third, who do you need to support you in achieving your health goal? Usually, success is associated with utilizing community resources available to you, such as services or individuals. This may include appropriate professionals, family members and friends. Examples may include participating in a yoga class or seeing a nutritionist to improve daily eating habits.
See you at the Market!
