Here's What's Fresh at the Worthington Farmers Market this Saturday
Fresh Picks from our Veggie Spy
Raise Your Apple IQ!
Get your taste buds primed because we're in the height of apple season!
Unlike supermarkets, the Market has an enormous variety of apples, including some you may not be familiar with. Our Market apple vendors grow over 20 varieties, including these tasty finds:
Winesap are dense, sweet and very juicy. They get their name from their distinctive spicy

wine-like flavor. Check them out at Gillogly.
Enterprise are firm with a mildly tart and richly spicy flavor. No need to eat them right away, the flavor improves even more with storage. Pick them up at Sippel Family Farm.
Topaz, pictured here, are very dense, crunchy, and quite tart with some sweetness. Excellent for both eating and baking, the Topaz variety comes from the Czech Republic. You'll find them at Branstool Orchards.

Acoustic Performance by Mark Zonakis - Musician at the Market
Stop by Dewey's Plaza, tomorrow, between 10am and 12pm to enjoy the unique and soulful sounds of acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, Mark Zonakis.
Born and raised in Columbus, with short stints in California and Arizona, his music invokes a mix of both Midwestern and Western imagery. As a self-taught songwriter, Mark was influenced by folk legends like Nick Drake and Bob Dylan and current artists, Ray Lamontagne and Joe Purdy.
His first EP, "Man of Tomorrow," was released last year. And, his first full-length album, "Western Prophets," is a concept album with an Old West/spiritual theme. It's set to release this fall.
Keep an ear open for my favorite songs, "Carnival Dream" and "Follow the Sun!
