Worthington Farmers Market - Yes! We have veggies...and so much more!

Fresh Picks from our Veggie Spy

Be a Trendsetter - Try Senposai!

Senposai, developed in Japan, is a cross between regular cabbage and Japanese mustard

greens. The leaves look like collard greens, but they are larger and more tender, with a rich, savory taste. It's excellent for salad, stir-fry and pickling. Give it a try, and it just may become your favorite green! You can find senposai at Franklinton Gardens. And, if you have a yen for other Asian greens, check out Jorgensen and Tilley .

Indoor season for the Worthington Farmers Market is underway! Find us inside the Shops at Worthington Place on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. There may be a chill in the air, but there is plenty of local produce available at the Market!

Thanksgiving Closure

Gobble up all your groceries for the Thanksgiving holiday at the Worthington Farmers Market on Saturday, November 23! The Worthington Farmers Market will be closed on Saturday, November 30 so that our farmers, artisans and volunteers can spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. The Market will resume on Saturday, December 7.

Join us every Saturday, leading up to and after our Thanksgiving closure, inside The Shops at Worthington Place - 7227 N High St, Worthington, OH 43085, from 9am-12pm. Our indoor season runs from the first Saturday in November through the last Saturday in April.

Token Transaction Fee

Effective November 1, due to an increase in fees charged to us by Square (our credit card processor), a $1 transaction fee will be applied to the sales total of our $5 Market tokens. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to absorb this cost and do have to pass along some of that increase. We thank you for your understanding and continued support of our small businesses.

The $1 fee applies to your entire token transaction, and is NOT a per token charge. So, whether you purchase $5 or $50, you only pay the $1 for the transaction. SNAP tokens and Produce Perks tokens are not impacted.

Save the Date

  • Saturday, November 30 - Farmers Market is Closed The Worthington Farmers Market will be closed on Saturday, November 30 so that our producers and volunteers can spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. We'll re-open at 9am on Saturday, December 7, inside the Shops at Worthington Place.

The Market Wellness Doctor's Weekly Health Tip

Lifestyle Matters. How we eat, move, sleep and manage stress has an enormous impact on health and longevity.

Lifestyle Intervention Most Effective for Preventing and Reversing Cognitive Decline

Alzheimer's Dementia (AD) presents as cognitive decline affecting an individual’s memory, language and social functioning. Currently, in the US, more than 5 million people have AD. Projections estimate that by 2040 nearly 10 million people will have dementia.(1)

Dr. Dale Bredesen's work has identified three distinct subtypes of AD based on metabolic testing including inflammatory, non-inflammatory and insulin resistant, and cortical, Identification is helpful to determine a therapeutic approach.(2) Dr. Bredesen has found a therapeutic protocol utilizing multiple interventions rather than a single one to be more effective in reversing cognitive decline.

Metabolic enhancement for neurodegeneration (MEND) protocol, includes: exercise probiotics, fish oil (DHA) and improved diet to reduce inflammation and insulin (fasting insulin <7 and HbA1C <5.5). Adhere to an “anti-inflammatory diet” that eliminates refined carbs and increases vegetables, wild fish, occasional grass-fed beef, and organic chicken. Let food and lifestyle be your medicine!

See you at the Market!
