The Worthington Farmers Market is Closed This Saturday


The Worthington Partnership takes pride in programming events to bring the community together. And, based on this week's order restricting large gatherings issued by Governor Mike DeWine’s office and the Ohio Department of Health, The Worthington Farmers Market will be closed this Saturday, March 14 to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The health and safety of our Market community – our producers, our shoppers, our volunteers, and our staff - are top of mind for us in making this decision.

We regret the impact a closure will have on our small business producers and on our customers that rely on the Worthington Farmers Market as a source for fresh food and weekly staples. We will do our best to keep the Market closure to a minimum. Please continue to monitor our social media accounts for weekly updates.

Optimize Your Immune Function!

Be proactive and let common sense prevail.

Begin with regular washing of hands and sanitizing surfaces at home and work. Be mindful about passing and receiving germs from others. Get adequate, restorative sleep, nightly. Drink plenty of clean pure water, daily. Be aware of and deal with personal stress, daily. Exercise regularly and eat plenty of nutrient-rich, whole foods.

For fighting viruses, nutritional supplements are not just a good idea, they are absolutely essential. Vitamin C has been shown in many studies to be an excellent antiviral treatment. Begin with approximately 2000-3000 milligrams daily for adults. Magnesium also has been shown in studies to be an excellent antiviral supplement. Take approximately 400 milligrams daily for adults. To bolster immune function, vitamin D 2000 international units daily is incredibly powerful. Finally, Zinc 20 to 40 milligrams per day and selenium 100 micrograms per day for adults are shown to be powerful antioxidants.(1)

The Worthington Partnership is pleased to announce that COhatch is furthering its investment in the Worthington community. Together the organizations will continue to drive initiatives to bring positive attention to the historic district, and support professional development and educational seminars for local merchants and business owners. The Partnership also will support soon-to-be-announced COhatch community events geared toward improving the lives of local residents.

COhatch will provide funding, hosting venues and people resources to help design and plan future programs for the community in collaboration with the Old Worthington Partnership. You will also see the COhatch airstream trailer, a multi-purpose office on wheels named "Mobi" at various events.

Thanks to COhatch for bringing energy and resources to Old Worthington! We are thrilled to work even more closely together to enhance the Old Worthington experience.
