Countdown to Opening Bell!

The planned construction timeline will allow us to return to The Shops at Worthington Place (intersection of N. High Street and W. These are typically the coldest months in Ohio, and we're grateful to our friends at the Shops for providing a comfortable and warm farmers market shopping experience.
We're counting the hours . . . how 'bout you?!
Winter Weather Watch
So far, the forecast is in our favor for Saturday's re-opening of the Worthington Farmers Market INSIDE The Shops at Worthington Place. Think warm thoughts and keep those fingers crossed!
We're keeping a close eye (and ear) on the weather, local forecasts, road conditions, power outages, and other conditions with potential impact on the Market. Should we need to delay or postpone, notice will be posted in these locations:
Additionally, a special edition of this newsletter will be sent to all subscribers and posted on our Blog (https://www.worthingtonfarmersmarket.com/blog-1).

Pandemic Safety Protocol & Operating Guidelines
Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be added spacing between booths, sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the mall, and producers will be grouped by product type.
Masks/facial coverings are required in indoor spaces per the City of Worthington ordinance. Read the full requirement here.
We thank you, in advance, for wearing your mask for the duration of your visit to the Worthington Farmers Market in support of the health of our vendors, volunteers, staff and other customers.
Please Note: NO pets are allowed inside the Shops at Worthington Place.
Plan Your FEBRUARY 5 Market Visit
The market layout for February and March 2022 is very similar to our previous set-up at The Shops at Worthington Place -- with even more new and returning producers!
Booths are spaced to keep plenty of distance between stalls and help manage traffic. The market information booth is located just inside the east entrance/exit, near Orvis and First Watch.
Producers are grouped by category: Produce, Baked Goods, Meat Eggs & Dairy, and Specialty Items/Prepared Foods, with a few vendors operating outdoors.
February 5 Vendor Participation
Please Note: This vendor list is based on currently available information. Vendor participation may change without notice due to emergency, weather, staffing, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Farewell, Hummavore -- We'll Miss You!
Dear Hummavore friends, community, and customers,
For the past few months, I’ve been in a debate with myself about what the future of Hummavore Hummus would be, and whether I wanted to keep going and growing or do something else with my life. After a long reflection, I’ve decided that, unless someone would like to buy the business, I am closing up shop. My last hummus making was right before the new year.
My fiancée and I are in a transitional stage in our lives. We are planning to move in the next few months, get married in about a year, and start the next part of our lives together. I realized that I needed to take a step back as it has been difficult to focus on this transition with how much energy I put into the business.
My dream had always been to farm and I moved to Ohio in 2016 to start that dream. I started making hummus as a side thing to use up the excess from the organic vegetables I was growing for market. And gradually, the hummus took on a life of its own. It became much more popular than I’d imagined. I reached a point where I had to make a choice and I chose making the fresh hummus over growing the organic vegetables. One thing leads to another, from one market to two, from two to four, and the amount of hummus we made just kept growing. But what kept me going throughout was the farmers markets. Saturday, despite being my longest work day each week, has always been the day I look forward to. The day I get to talk with friends and new acquaintances. The day I feel the most in tune with my community, united by a passion for fresh, local food. The day I get to smile and bring that fresh hummus straight to you.
You have made my Saturdays wonderful, seeing each and every one of you. And for those who I didn’t see at market, you have supported our shared passion for good food made the right way and I am extremely grateful to you. Even through the early days of the pandemic, your support helped me keep my wits and chart a better course for the business. Your suggestions paved my interest into other dips and soups and salads that we made this past year. And it showed: 2021 was the best year for Hummavore. As a three-person team, we made around 20,000 fresh food items out of Local Roots Wooster’s shared kitchen.
So thank you to everyone. It has been a blessing to bring you all fresh hummus each week and even though it tears at my heart to give it all up, I know this is the right thing for me to do right now. If anyone has any interest in buying and running the business, please let me know. My email is email@example.com and my phone # is 443-821-8087. Otherwise, I wish you all the best and hope to see you down the road. Take care all.
David Kelly, Producer/Owner, Hummavore Hummus (Fox Hollow Garden LLC)
P.S. - There are a ton of people whose help made this business possible and I hope to thank each of you individually.
