Local food products will be available for pick-up Saturdays at the Worthington Farmers Market and handcrafted items will be shipped directly to your door!

Visit the COhatch Marketplace team at the Market THIS Saturday for details. Look for Mobi, their Airstream trailer.

Help Us Keep the Market Open!

The staff and volunteers of The Worthington Partnership, the City of Worthington, the City of Columbus Public Health Department, our producers and our downtown merchants have worked hard to make this return possible. Please help us be successful by doing your part.

The City of Worthington REQUIRES wearing a facial covering -- even if you are vaccinated. We thank you, in advance, for wearing your mask for the duration of your visit at the Worthington Farmers Market in support of the health of our vendors, volunteers, staff and other customers.

  • Please maintain 6' of distance between yourself and our volunteers, vendors and other customers.

  • Space between vendor booths has increased to ensure maximum aisle width.

  • Form lines in empty spaces next to booths to allow other pedestrians to pass and keep traffic flowing in the main aisles and sidewalks.

  • No food/beverage samples from vendors.

  • Please enjoy food and beverages in designated outdoor dining areas only.

  • Sanitize your hands often. Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the Market space.

  • Only touch the products that you intend to buy. Or, allow the farmer or food maker to select your products for you.

  • All extracurricular activities (music at the market, busking, Market Sprouts, cooking demonstrations, etc.) have been cancelled until further notice.

Thank you for your continued support and your help to keep the Market in downtown Worthington!

Get Your Garlic Fix Early with Green Garlic

Green garlic (or spring garlic) are immature garlic plants harvested before the garlic bulbs we all know (and love!) appear. Sometimes growers pick green garlic to make room for the remaining garlic plants to grow and mature. But it has its own unique flavor profile and provides a delightful way to kickstart garlic dishes in the spring.

Green garlic has long green stems that resemble scallions and are crisp and firm. Often, depending on when it was picked, a small white or pinkish bulb at the base is present. Green garlic has a mild, bright garlicky flavor that is less intense than garlic cloves. The entire plant can be eaten. Use it in any recipe where you would use mature garlic. And it has all the great nutritional benefits of garlic bulbs as well!

You can find green garlic at Gillogly Orchards and Tilly Farmstead.

The Versatile Vegan suggests green garlic novices try this simple Grilled Green Garlic recipe. Since several vendors now have asparagus (see below), this is the perfect time for Asparagus with Young Garlic and Horseradish! Chef Alice Waters is a green garlic fan. You can’t go wrong with her Spaghetti with Green Garlic recipe!

Other Finds

Radishes are back! You can find them at Franklinton Farms, Jorgensen Farms and Tilly Farmstead. Several vendors now have asparagus, including Gillogly Orchards, Somerset Herbs, and Toad Hill Farm. And check out Cottage Garden and Tilly Farmstead for green onions.

Cinco de Mayo

This week is Cinco de Mayo (literally “The Fifth of May”), marking the victory of the Mexican Army over French forces in an 1862 battle. It is celebrated by festivals and traditional Mexican food. You can join in the fun by getting ready-to-eat or frozen tamales at Columba’s Mexican Food on the southwest Village Green. And they have several options stuffed with yummy veggies!

Fresh Picks for This Week Producers have the following available for online pre-order and/or at the Indoor Market:

Apples, Asparagus, Beets, Bok Choy, Carrots, Celery, Claytonia (Miner's Lettuce), Garlic, Green Garlic!, Herbs, Horseradish, Kale & Kale Raab, Leeks, Lettuce, Microgreens & shoots, Mustard Greens, Mushrooms (shiitake & oyster), Popcorn, Radishes, Rainbow Chard, Ramps, Rhubarb, Rutabaga, Senposai, Scallions, Spinach, Sunchokes, Sweet Potatoes, Squash (multiple winter varieties), Turnips (Hakurei & greens), Yukina Savoy Mustard

Can I Bring My Dog to the Outdoor Market?

Well-socialized and well-behaved dogs are welcome to accompany visitors to the Worthington Farmers Market.

We ask that pet owners abide by these rules to make a pet’s visit to the Market a good experience for everyone:

  • Pets must be kept on a short leash.

  • Pets must be under control and by the owner’s side at all times.

  • Keep pets away from produce, plants, and other food products.

  • Pets must be friendly with other pets and people of all ages.

  • Be considerate—not everyone loves your pet; some customers are fearful and others are allergic to animals.

  • Please clean up after your pet.

The Worthington Partnership is pleased to announce that COhatch is furthering its investment in the Worthington community. Together the organizations will continue to drive initiatives to bring positive attention to the historic district, and support professional development and educational seminars for local merchants and business owners. The Partnership also will support soon-to-be-announced COhatch community events geared toward improving the lives of local residents.

COhatch will provide funding, hosting venues and people resources to help design and plan future programs for the community in collaboration with the Old Worthington Partnership. You will also see the COhatch airstream trailer, a multi-purpose office on wheels named "Mobi" at various events.
